Day 3:

After a simple run culminating by our first beer at 11am, the hard work starts today.

69 miles and 3,500 foot gain which translated into uphill pain.

Breakfast at 7.30 then hit the road by 8am. Hoping to complete in 6hrs plus an hour in stops.

I think today will be a bit of a mental battle where lonliness and the enormity of the task in hand hits home.

On the plus side, "The Nantwich Foghorn" is mostly behaving himself, thankfully not many locals understand English so his wayward mutterings go mainly unnoticed.

Great to read the update.

Matt could you let us know the start and finish place so we can track your progress...If I pass close on Friday I may pip the horn and give you a wave.

Well done so far, both of you. Matt - with only Benny for company for 2 weeks I sincerely hope he doesn't manage to indoctrinate you into his peculiar ways!

Looks like you are making great progress.

All depends on garage finishing as you are heading South and I North...if its too late we will be too far apart.
