It’s definitely lacking in sub 3k pull and weirdly the Ferraris are similarly mapped.
It’s Engine ECU only and I have yet to drive mine hard as I have a knackered ABS hub….like many on here.

Anything to do with cam profile? Vastly different age of engine but Kent cam meant lumpy and not much until 4000rpm then all he'll breaks loose.
Do any maserati have a smooth rock steady idle?

So we dont have to wait till you get an ABS sensor before we find out how good this is, how about you map mine and take that out for a proper run

What is the cost of the remap please and is it an ecu soldering chip replacement job, or is it a EPROM software flash job which can be reversed easily by reflashing?

Thanks sounds very reasonable for the significant power gains, be great to hear longer term report and Dyno readings…

Also, is there any reason it can't be done on a GT Sport with the same engine?

Can be done on any 4.7 and yes I want to test it real world before it’s offered

I might bring it to Ace today. It has a failed wheel bearing after I donated my near new one to a customer.

This means I have an extra 100hp with greasy roads and no ABS or traction.

If I don’t turn up today, the ecu upgrade worked.

I had similar this year - day after collection from garage, a 10inch crack appeared. In the end, I claimed on insurance and they supported, without quibble, an OEM Maserati one. Graypaul had to order it direct from Italy so I had to pay up front in full (non-refundable) and then reclaim the £2.3k back. No issues with speed/insurer but may put some off.

Today I had the chance to give the remapped Stradale a real work out on the local ring road. The gains according to Matt are up to 90bhp. I would not dispute this but of course the only way to find out is on the dyno. In Auto, ironically, it seems to be really much quicker as long as you hammer the accerator immediately. Do it slowly and it doesnt seem any different. Apparantly it revs another 500rpm, and there is real boost over 3000 +. So yes, well worth the wait, and my 2010 600bhp R8V10, as much as love it, will now be seeking a new owner...

The claimed power gains are awfully good for normally aspirated.
Is the original map therefore so bad?
How can this be?
Is the 42/GS original map good or bad?
If equally bad, are gains of 4.2/4.7=0.9 that of the 4.7 possible?
