Two fuses in footwell no relays as far as I can see from manual, got to Mallaig and back, windows operated for a while , now no go , and hood won't come out of storage...what now

There's some big fuses in the battery compartment related to the hood Stewart, they are the ones nearest the front of the car in the battery compartment, one of my bills which came with the car was the change of one of these fuses due to a non-operational hood which fixed it.

Thanks Nibby, will check in the morning, stressed out with the dam windows, sure the two things are linked.
This is the first real hitch in 4yrs ownership, and just had new mot as usual...

I would guess it's a minor glitch Stewart, my hood has a mind of it's own but always seem to sort it somehow with advice from here and Maserati Life.

Are the windows up? I don't know, but I'd guess, if the windows won't drop then the roof mechanism is unlikely to activate. Which leads me to think maybe the window micro-switch issue would be worth investigating. It's well documented, but, to reiterate, I don't know if this would cause the roof to stop working. Hope you're sorted soon.

It seems odd that it’s both windows. I’d check if there’s power to the switches first

As Navcorr said it wouldn’t surprise me if the windows being inoperable is what’s affecting the roof working

Glad you got it sorted Stewart.
When my top has been playing up and I've done a search and I've noticed a few times in America, owners have been told by dealers it's motors and pumps at fault at a cost of $$$$$, it does make me wonder in a lot of these cases whether it was a grubby microswitch and could of saved the owner a fortune if they'd known?

I was a bit apprehensive of the out come..dreading the big bill, jammed Top, jammed windows, no specialist nearby, phoned PK for advice....no body in, no returned call, thank goodness I am able to carry out some repairs,it is a simple strip down and must have saved a fortune.
I am just back from the Wear Coast , top down, showing 27 on the gauges , the car is running as sweetly as ever, what a pleasure, we are so lucky up here. I will be devastated when someone takes her off my hands.

Final up date on the Window non operation/ top not working, after initial clean up , the windows stoped working again, serviced all switches and checked all fuses, last resort replaced Window Lifting ECU, green box above fuse box in passenger foot well, kindly supplied on sale or return basis by Greg Smith, and all systems returned to normal. No a big Repair but a big relief...
