The original owner of my 3200 was too mean to specify the 'optional' spare and tools in 2000 - penny pinching on a car costing over £60K at the time!
Therefore when it became mine [for a lot less] in 2009 I decided I wasn't going to rely on the can of goo that was supplied instead. So when Eurospares had a delivery of 'equivalent' space savers last December, I ordered one - @£550 and it was actually a Ferrari wheel. It's very nice and it fits the car but to get it to fit the wheel well in the boot I had to deflate the tyre. This wheel/tyre combo is slightly larger than the original Maserati item. Now, a flat[ish] tyre is not much good as a spare so I carry a foot pump plus the correct jack [still available new], a wheel wrench and socket, a torque wrench and a car cover to stop the extraneous **** from sliding about.
If I have any more good ideas ...............

All goes to add a bit of ballast on those rear wheels , the way the weathers been of late its got to be one of your best decisions dont knock it when most of us are sitting at the roadside with flat tyres waiting for the AA you'll soon be on your way
