Hello all, just like to say hello.
I am now actively looking to purchase a 3200 and hopefully have one in the next two weeks. Currently running an alfa brera q4 V6 so I'm used to a thirsty car, and one that needs a little TLC at times. I have always wanted a 3200 so it's an itch I have to scratch and now seems the right time.
Other cars in the stable are a Giulietta tbi and an 8v Kat integrale.
Question to ask is, how easy are the 3200's to work on. Im now restoring my integrale so happy to have spanners in hand.

I have read up on the known issues on the 3200 so know what I'm letting myself in for, I am going for an auto, so would appreciate any auto owners giving me some info on these as this will be my first auto car.

Welcome. Good luck with your search. I have an auto/paddle shift Q4 V6 Brera, and a manual 3200. Consumption is similar lol. Looking forward to hearing what you purchase, great cars. Ignore the pub banter you will get on here re 3200s, all half of the experience! If it wasn't for the 3200 I doubt half of them would be here ;)

Hi Vespasian and welcome to the forum. The 3200 is like nothing you have encountered, best description i have seen is "mad as a bag of frogs". It can be worked on, and i have done many jobs over the years on my Auto and most of its pretty much like any other car. It has a few weak spots and can be a fragile and frustrating car to own. It can equally be one of the most exiting and infectious things you will ever own. Good luck with it and let us see some photos!!!

Well, I got her, a love blue 3200, got a couple of little issues, air con has a mind of its own, it obviously works, but only now and again, and a slight clonk on the o/s/f which sounds like a anti roll bar drop link.

Any ideas on the intermittent with con?

Welcome along.
If you can work on a Intergrale you will be fine on the 3200.
Second getting your AC checked and change the receiver drier with the age of the car often missed.

Good news, the air con was just a sticky relay, where is the best place to get an arb drop link? Also as I guessed, sometimes the throttle body has a mind of its own. I'll get that sorted later

Dear Desperado, why? Buying a 3200 is like whipping yourself with birch twigs or slamming your c0ck in a metal edged door. There are much less stressful ways of burning piles of money, Pablo Escobar proved that, and he was a tw4t. Whilst I applaud your optimism I do question your sanity, but I hope providence spares you the trauma of such an unwise decision. I pray for fair winds, calm seas and an understanding bank manager because mate, you are going to need all 3. Good luck.

Hopefully you refer to the post rather than subjecting yourself to what Benny suggests??
