Hi folks, new to the forum, but have been reading quite a lot of your posts over the past few months. I'm soon picking up an immaculate 2011 GTS (Auto, not MC) in Bianco Eldorado, with 20" silver trident wheels and an all-red interior, including the wheel and carpets. I love this colour combo as I'm not keen on blacked-out wheels (each to their own on that one), and the red interior makes it feel special inside as well as out. Collecting the car July 4 and just wanted to say hello. I've spent half my life as a Maserati fanboy, but never really conceived I'd ever be able to afford one. My last car was a 2008 Vectra!

No doubt I'll be looking for any excuse to drive it anywhere (I intend to drive it a LOT), so will keep my eyes peeled for events and so on once I have the car. Pretty excited, as well as a teeny bit terrified at the prospect of driving a car with more than 3x the horsepower of my last one.

Yeah, the reg date is very late 2011, which I guess explains the seats. And yes, no Sport Pack, but honestly not a fan of the carbon fibre look myself.
Sport pack isn’t Carbon Fibre, it’s upgraded gearbox software (MC Autoshift) which allows the baffles to be open throughout the rev range and not just above 3000rpm; also quicker changes. It also replicates the styling of the MC Shift with lipped boot, side skirts and front splitter canards as well as oval exhaust pipes a la MC Shift. It was available October 2011 onwards on 12 MY cars (all had the updated seats) and was £5500 so not many spec’d it as September 2013 the first Granturismo Sports arrived which had all the above as standard.

Ah, thanks! Did not know that. I thought it was just the trim!

Welcome! Your GTS looks awesome. Can imagine that time will suddenly start to feel like it's dragging until 4 July, but it will be worth the wait.

And I have her in my possession! So fun to drive. My goodness, that sound is like nothing else on the road isn't it. Probably the only thing I'm not a fan of so far is the variable resistance in the power steering. Quite inconsistent, but I guess it's trying to give you more help when you need it and more roadfeel when you don't. Also nice to see this car still turns a lot of heads. Have it on my front drive on a main road at the moment and people just stop to look at it. :D
