Smart Repair Recommendations

Hi All

I'm after a recommendation for a good smart repairer.

I've got a scuff and very small crack on a plastic front arch.

Im in North London/South Herts.

My worry with Smart Repairs is that they can look great when done but 6months later can look noticeably different to the paint work around the repair, if not done properly.

So personal recommendation would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks Richard.

Anyone actually used him, and can give an idea on cost, and also if the repair remains good after some time has passed?

Thanks

One of the GTs that was at Brooklands yesterday was repaired by him last year. The rear lower quarter panel behind the wheel. Unfortunately, I don't think the owner is on this forum.

Just had my rear quarter done by a guy i met at one of the meets. His name is Mark and he is near Portsmouth. He has use of very smart brand new spray booth so turns out quality work. PM me for contact if it is of interest.

I've heard very good reports about Smart Vehicle Repair (Danny).

I second that. The guy's a genius from what I can tell and what I've heard. I've not used him personally but the detailer I've used a couple of times describes him as "the best in the business". Let me know if you need his mobile number and I'll PM you.

Thanks mate.

If you could ping his details over.

Was there someone that MAF used? Cant seem to find it on search.

Stevo, Portsmouth is a little far for me. Thanks though.

My only advice is that a smart repair is not a lasting solution. Consider a good bodyshop - get a quote and decide a way forward. My experience of smart repairs is they are a cosmetic make-over for prepping cars for second hand dealers. Many smart repairers' bread and butter work is for used car dealerships.

I can echo this, I've seen some smart repairs from mobile units and can't say I've been impressed especially if you have a critical eye, I'm sure there may be some better than others but you can't beat taking it to a proper bodyshop especially if it's your pride and joy, unless it's some jalopy. then a smart repair would be the better and cheaper option
