Lovely Aston... but what a heap of junk next to it! Why anyone wants to own a car that looks like scrap is beyond me...but only just behind why the 'rat' look commands a premium.

The 'rat look' is all the rage over here right now. That and 'patina' drive me nuts. My mate from work has a 1970 Ford Torino GT 429 Super CobraJet drag pac car. It's all original, never restored/painted. It wouldn't be welcome at a concours, but the the wear and tear of 50 years of driving have left their mark. When we go driving and stop for gas, people don't even see my Maserati.

I love genuine patina on a car, but hate fake patina with passion and there is a lot of that about at shows

Most of the mechanics etc stay in a lodge style place 30minutes from the circuit. All the important guys stay elsewhere.

Domaine Long Pre near Stavelot? Stayed there a couple of years ago. One of the guys is ex Lotus, fortunately they didn’t remember him as they were apparently banned from there back in the day.

Here is his Torino, since this pic, he has found Calypso Orange fender and door.View attachment 74547
Nice. Hideaway headlights too :p, a fella I know from Whitehaven had a black one (don't know if it was a cosher SCJ car though) , I'll see if I can dig out some pics, it looked a beast. I've not seen another one over here, sadly he had a bit of a wobbler, sold it and bought a Fox body Mustang, the start of a long line of American Tin

Looks like you had some decent weather up here today, been down to Nottingham in the 32 , torrential rain all the way there and all the way back! Cleared up when we got back to Penrith , I think we've been storm chasing lol
We have the best weather here... but you always knew that!

Appreciate the likes for my amateur snap, it doesn't do justice to the reality.
Must get some 35mm film in my Leica.

Lozzer, I'll let my mate know you liked his car. He searched forever to get the proper color fender and door, he absolutely refuses to paint the thing. He is currently building a small block to go in it, so he can refresh the big block. Those cars are pretty cool in their design, not meant to turn or brake, they were designed to do 200mph for hours at a time around Talladega. Absolute acres of sheet metal.
