Always funny seeing a big 4 or 6 pot Japanese bike USA spec and it's 85mph speedometer.
Loved all my 70's sports bikes I had with the upright riding position.
Can't be doing with modern sports bikes too fast and painful to ride.
Had a R6 for a little while and knew that would finish me off.
Should have kept the Z1000 if only to look at.
I come from the same era Phil and tbh the RD250LC looked too modern for me, so I really am stuck in the 70s. I think I shall pour myself a nice pint of cold Double Diamond.

Slaters the UK Laverda importers who also had the idea for the Jota were just up the road from here in Bromyard. View attachment 103478

I always wanted an orange Jota with a silver frame, can't really justify one now though. Fyi, Jota is a fast Spanish dance in 3/4 time, which is just about perfect. Fwiw, you'd better have a strong left hand, because the clutch is famously recalcitrant.

I think it was a dry clutch like my T160 akin to a car

It was a beast of a bike for hairy-chested he-men. Whilst the Japs, with the Z1000 and GS 1000, seemed to do it better with less effort, the Jota was, for me, the bike I always wanted. I might scratch that itch in the fullness of time, but it's a lottery win that will decide it!

You have an electric start Trident? Kudos fella, well done you! I once thrashed a mate's Rocket 3, but the keft-hand ground clearance was decidedly iffy. A lovely engine that was let down by everything else. :D

Unit luxury! A nice example. I had a C11G that never ran well. Best BSA was an ex-WD B40 to commute from Howden to Cottingham in the ‘80’s. Amused the neighbours by keeping it in the front room - door off the street with tyre marks. Needs must……

Nice job Geo.
I went mad with the Solvol on my last T160 I even had the carbs with a mirror finish.

It’s the fine detail that makes all the difference. Especially cleanliness inside and careful application of sealant.

Warning spoiler alert.

After the weekend's race at God's Race Track I think the publisher's of THE racing yearbook, Motocourse, have put their cock's on the block by sending out emails with this cover. There's two races to go and Pecco only has a 14 point lead. Eggs on faces if Fabio gets his second.
