Thinking today that i have come across plenty of accident damaged Massers ie ,

http://www.universal-salvage.com/c2...e1s1&lotId=21132920&returnPage=SEARCH_RESULTS

Since conception of my own Masser ownership , i have only known of two members whose cars were seriously accident damaged , and one Catalan ( Malcomb ) wasn't even in his car at the time poor chap ,it was stationary , same goes for phil, he was having his car serviced and bumper repaired when the body shop delivery driver spanked it from the some traffic lights both cars were written off and neither of the drivers were at the wheel at the time ,

Do we conclude from this that Forum members make better drivers because they are more enthusiast and passionate about their investment

Na not really Andy , even that will go for £10/12 K i shouldn't wonder yeah as a breaker , engine and gearbox are worth that , the rest would be profit , ive contemplated buying the front end off one as and when and IF one crops up , quite happily invest £4-5K in that

Interesting point Loz.

If correct (and I agree in my brief time very little mention of accidents) any scope for gathering data, sharing it with a few key insurance companies and then seeking a discount for SM membership??

I think until someone actually does some performance driver training they will consider themselves a "good driver".
If someone books driver training then they have admitted that there's room for improvement - which is a good thing, compared to someone saying they don't need it.
Once you're actually doing the training you realise you are in fact no where near as "good" as you thought you were.
I've now done quite a lot of training and I'm much improved but still have so much more to learn.
All of the above is with regards to handling a high performance car, for a "good" driver on the road very little of what I've learned is relevant. Good road craft is down to obeying the rules, not bending them, and expecting other road users to do something silly and unpredictable at any moment.

I wonder how many of its 9500 miles that car did on it's roof??!!

When I renewed (the Alfa) with Flux they asked if i was a member of a club and I said yes, but it's a web forum and they said "that's fine!" . Not sure how much the premium reduced by though.

Whats the fix on that Loz, a re-shell?

What a shame - great combo, nero/avorio.

cheers woody , i would litterally want to buy a whole front end off one car , 2 wings 2 headlights bonnet bumper grill washers parking sensors fog lights etc maybe a rad and air con and oil cooling rads , there's a good £5K used there , but simplifies the process if your determined to get one , you will always come across stuff like that when you dont need it , when you need it becomes a nightmare and every price seems sky high ,

That Breaker i posted earlier , yeah definately a reshell , but it doesnt stop there , re jig and all the panels doors a good £45K worth of bits , a bonnet for one is £5800 plus vat heheh ridiculous its because there so new
