I think its common among Petrolheads to also enjoy mechanical watches and trad Hi Fi. I'm the same, with a watch collection shared on this forum and a Hi Fi setup made of various components made over the last 20 years or so.

Cyrus pre and power amps and DAC, Monitor Audio GS30 speakers, Project turntable with valve pre amp, and Arcam CD player. Having said that, it looks good but I hardly ever use it, but do streaming from my iPhone to a bluetooth speaker or B&W headphones instead. What a Philistine, but its so much easier!

I have a Cyrus Stream X2 QX <$random letters), PSXR and X-power driving Vienna Acoustics Beethoven baby grands.

And I rarely stream from my phone cos it sounds so much better (and all my music is upstairs on the server anyway).

I have a MA Gold system in the cinema. GR30s at the front. Lovely things

You got tweeters, Grandad?
You'll be telling me you don't want slimline salad dressing, next!

My modest set up:

B&W 684 speakers x2
Onkyo network amp 2.1 75w per channel
3.0m of heavy thick speaker cables from richer sounds which I feel were a rip off

Don't have it hooked up to the TV because I enjoy listening to music through it... Don't really get the whole home cinema thing unless one has very deep pockets then fair enough

Very big Naim fan and have had some very extensive equipment over the years. Now have simplified things down to a Naim Uniti Nova as my main source and amplifier and then a couple Naim Musos
for distributing sound elsewhere. Brilliant and very useable audiophile quality equipment.

I have a 82/180 set up, I really like it and can’t think of a reason to change.

Have a Yamaha RXA 2010 Amp, B+W 684 fronts, B+W CM centre, and M1 rears, and B+W sub, QED cables and a Panasonic OLED TV. Wouldn't mind getting a turn table, and getting into vinyl, as my mum and dad have a vast collection, but most of my music is streamed, the AV stuff is mainly used for TV and movies, (Panasonic BD player) Wouldn't mind a new amp at some point, though hard to fault the one I have, its abit old hat. Had some friends over for NYE, and my mate cranked the amp round to 0 when Craig David was on, and everything took it, even the neighbors.

I've got a Meridian F80 for playing tunes in the Kitchen, great kit.

Always liked a bit of hifi.
Current set-up has my iphone streaming into a Chromecast. The bits after that are as follows:
Chord Hugo M-Scaler --> Chord Dave --> Cyrus X300 Signatures --> Kudos Titan 808 speakers65496

Linn Floor standing speakers
Marantz class A amp
Marantz CD player

Some turntable that I bought from Richer Sounds

Sounds good enough to me

The Linn factory is about half a mile from my house. The company is owned my my childhood friend’s Dad. In the 60’s he invented the belt drive turntable which isolated the vibrations and led to higher quality sound through his LP12 turntable. He sold the patents to Technics and started Linn Sondek. The factory is cool as, fully automated and ultra modern.

I can’t afford their stuff!!

I have Acoustic Energy fronts, Onkyo amp, Cambridge audio surround, Marantz CD63, Monitor audio centre, Optomo projector and lots of Sonos stuff connecting the house and usually playing anything from Ibiza Global radio to Radio Paradise from LA.

My Linn speakers were about to go in a skip at a house clearance. Because they did n't say Sony or Aiwa on them nobody had heard of them . I knew exactly what they were . I said "Ill have those thanks."

They are from the 1990s but sound fantastic .

Just noticed this, are you laughing at my STD catman :D

Should've kept my gob shut, it worked fine for an hour then went all pinky and perky , the 1978 touch electronics have proved to be problematic, it plays at 33 for a bit then jumps to 78 , must be a switch , if you keep your finger on 33 it's ok but as soon as you take it off the pigs are singing.

They were made by Scottish Transcription Developments , this is a STD 305D
