Right, not happy.
The Android units I placed an order for (20 in total) they only have 5 left and they are unsure if they are going to make anymore. This is because there is an updated version which does not require a dongle, its all bluetooth and both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto all in one box. They are reluctant to manufacture a new run of the box we use as they obviously want to push their new box plus they say they only manufacture in 200 units minimum so recon they will be left with loads after they fufil our order.
Great I hear you say, well it could be.
The issue is all the documentation I have and wiring diagrams in the install guide is not for this system so it will differ slightly. Plus I always like to test anything before committing.
We have 2 options as far as I can see.
- Cancel the order
- Have them send me the new box to test fit and prove to work, add an addendum sheet to the install guide to cover the new box.
I suspect this new box will be much better than the current one as it does not rely on a separate dongle which is always the bit that gives the problems and occasionally fail.
What would people like me to do?
