Is there a date for when the second order is likely to be placed for those on the list?
I will be trialing the new Bluetooth dongle over the next couple of weeks on the Tuscany trip then I will order when I get back. I want to be 100% on this before we switch over.

Having now driven my new GT a good few miles, I am amazed by how p!ss poor the OEM user interface is and am very interested in this kit and being added to the list.

A few questions from me though:

1 - my wife uses crapple and I use android - is switching between the 2 seamless and, more importantly, easy for a technophobe?

2 - do the phones have to be connected by a wire to the unit (and if yes, can a USB c and Iphone connector be easily installed)

3 - is there a reversing camera upgrade?

4 - how long would it be before I would get my kit?
I’ve just ordered a connector from amazon for point 1.. I’m android and the Mrs is apple. Its only £7.99 and looks well made. I’ll update when it arrives and I get to play.

Can I ask is the connecting dongle being developed (not the wired version) bluetooth or wireless? I'm asking as I can see in a previous photo what looks like a wireless antenna (box on left)? Possibly the antenna is for something else?

Antenna is for the WiFi connection used to set up the system on first install, the Bluetooth is to replace the CarPlay dongle (not pictured) which connects via usb.

Mine works fine apart from there seems to be a loose connection on the green channel to the screen, post installation. Hence when I go over bumps I sometimes get ‘fuzz’ rather than solid green on parks and the like when using Waze. As long as it doesn’t get worse I will probably live with it, but if I am ever in Paul from Prestige’s locality I will ask him to have a look.

Anyone know what the deal is with Naviplus and software / firmware upgrades? Are they committed to updating the unit in sync with google updates to Android / the Android Auto app?

The updates come from the box supplier. There is an update screen in the Android screens that allows the download of updates under settings.

Mine switched over to the new version of Android Auto when it was introduced recently, without me needing to do anything, if that's any comfort?

Not sure if there's a list somewhere for the next batch but having had a demonstration and talked to Mark, I'll have one please.

Paul from Prestige installed mine yesterday. Works very well. Unfortunately the forum member that sold me his ‘brand new in box set that he never got round to fitting’ neglected to tell me that the glass touch screen was damaged and cracked! Really poor behaviour.
Paul is trying to source another screen.

We have completed our test of the Blutooth dongle and its all good so we are going to go with that on the next order. The kit price will rise but only very slightly to cover the extra cost $30/£25. You cannot have both plugged in, its one or the other so our suggestion is to have a USB extension lead fitted and tucked down the back of the passenger carpet so you can easily swap dongle or change a failed phone/charge cable.

You can plug a phone/charge cable directly into the box if required as it has 2.

I will also sell to those who have the the batch 1 kits for £60 if anyone wants one.

Ill give it a week then place the order:

Batch 1 BT dongle:
1. Krishna

Currently it’s a wired dongle you plug your phone into but we now have a wireless BT connector. No charging but it’s a better dongle.

Hi Matt thanks for the reply.... OK i guess the wireless dongle doesn't restrict you to where you can have the phone etc... i notice that you say you cant charge and run dongle... is there no way at all?

would this connector work.... plugging the dongle into one and then charger in the other?

If this is obvious, apologies in advance - but if this is connecting wirelessly, and therefore audio is being streamed via Bluetooth to the car, would this improve the audio quality vs the current setup (which has the phone outputting sound via the AUX jack)?
