There are two USBs on these kits too as I recall.

As the wireless upgrade will be the dongle only this is still the kit to have right now.

Correct, i plan on eventually buying one of the wireless dongles to replace the wired dongle that comes with the group buy kit

I’m happy to sell my spare one as I can’t get it installed. I’m sure it cost £550.

Hi Dicky. I'm in the second group so I need to see if Conaero has placed the order for the second shipment yet. If he hasn't and he's OK with me taking yours then yes please.

Paul seems very busy, and my auto electrician is no longer with us.
I had a chat with Paul when I had mine fitted. He was explaining that he has a local St Albans clientele amongst car dealers etc. and that from a longer term sustainability perspective for his business he cannot drop them to do the Maserati CarPlay installs as quickly as some of us would like. Distance is also a consideration. I ended up taking my car to Hertfordshire to Paul rather than waiting for him to have availability to come to the Welsh border (which might have taken a while).

It was also interesting to hear the number of the Naviplus kits that he had installed, in addition to the forum kits.

Just thought of a simple way to add a modicum of future proofing. Since the Naviplus unit has 2 USB jacks, run a USB extension cable from the second jack to the glove box or wherever else you would like it. If there is some additional USB functionality in the future or a better carplay/android dongle that comes around or the wireless ones (only one available now and apparently glitchy per other forums); you can simply plug it in at the glove box terminal and not have to tear the dash apart to upgrade this piece. Wish i had thought of that while doing my install a few months ago and literally a $5 insurance policy

@conaero do you have timescales for the 2nd batch arriving? Thanks
There is a new bluetooth dongle that I am talking to the supplier about. It adds about £35 to the price, then I will order, so 3-4 weeks from that point.

Do we all want to go or the bluetooth or wired dongles?

Will there be an extra amount available for those that already have the system and would like the dongle ?

Just drop me a line if you want it unless it’s messing with the orders.

Hi Dicky. Sorry for the late response I was travelling. No problem. I've messaged Conaero just to check he is OK with this.
