Met the Legend several years ago at the NEC Classic and Sports car show and he is an absolute Gentleman with the most amazing stories especially the Road Races.

Indeed. I have the signed version of this somewhere ....

EDIT: Found it, looks like it was a good investment!

Does that mean you have the only one?

No, I have number 08 of 50

All of the original 50 are defined as 'Artist Proof' as they came directly from the artist and that was the initial run.

The above link says '1 only' as it is the only one for sale on the secondary market from this edition of 50 at the moment

A man to be saluted and recognised , like many met the man several times over the years at various functions , and had the pleasure of seeing him drive and unfortunately a severe crash at Goodwood when i was just 8 years old

RIP absolute legend.

Having seen the sad news the first thing I did was go to eBay to buy this signed item I’ve had on my watchlist for months..

Met him a few times as he often visited the Hotel de France which I live opposite when he attended various LM races. He was one of the AM team members regularly billeted there during the 50’s. As others have said, a gent on and off the track and at least he made old bones unlike many of his contemporaries.

He signed this photo of my Vanquish for my 50th and put on it “the most dangerous pilot in the world” as I once gave him a lift in my helicopter back from Donnington in the 90’s when the traffic jams out from major race events were legendary. I think my steep left bank out of the circuit took him by surprise but he soon settled down and enjoyed the trip. Top bloke68402

One of my mates had one too. Not sure what number it is.

Does anyone have any interest in my copy of this? Mine is number 8 of 50. I would be willing to let it go for £1250 to a fellow forum member. Note, whilst I have always stored it in the hard cover envelope it came in, there is a slight crease by the signature - it would almost certainly not be visible if framed and may have been done by the great man himself when signing :)
