I remember going for car show/exhibition at G-MEX early 80's - Maserati had a big presence there, all the BiTurbo range and all in red with cream interior. Think that's were I got the Maser bug from.....

Am I right in thinking if the post-auction price was 28,000 euros that the reserve might of been set a tad high, hence no sale. Other than a rich Romanian Elton John fanatic I can't see this selling, the rhd appeals to Brits I know but we can buy one a lot cheaper here also without the rigmarole of re-importing it and that's without the multi-coloured paint on the doors.

And the fact it sold for £9,563 in October 2019 at Coys suggests the seller is looking to flip for a sizeable margin and possibly with little investment in that time. Better examples to be had in the UK for less.

Yes, I don't understand the €28,000 thing at all. Unless they are hoping for a huge premium for the EJ history - perhasp based on the green QP. Even Coys had it estimated as €9,000-€13,000. And Richard Grace sold a better one last year for £20k.

I might have bid up to €8k even with a £1-2k cost to ship it here, but I wasn't going to start at €8k.
