Should I get a QPV, QP6 or Ghibli next?

QP V 4.2 & QP VI 3.0



They are different cars for different times Mark, the newer one having all the bells and whistles expected of modern transport whilst delivering pretty dramatic performance, but without the old school interior of the V or age related issues. I do think the body lines of the VI are much better than the V. The size of the VI would make it interesting to use as a daily as simple things like parking can be challenging to say the least; I've yet to find a parking bay that accommodates the length.

As ever, Dicky's comments are spot on. For a daily driver a high spec Ghibli is probably the way to go, and if you can live with a car that's bigger than a Bentley then go for a QP VI; although a 3.8 would be nice, the 3.0 is no slouch. Always a petrol Maserati for me though.

I had a QPV 4.7 followed by a QPVI 3.8 which is currently for sale. IMO the QPVI is by far the better car if only that is better equipped and improves overall performance. I used it every day and generally had no problem with the size.

If you go the Ghibli route try and stretch to the Gran Sport or Gran Lusso. They add £10k of kit as standard. GranLusso's have some interesting interiors too.

i went from a Quattroporte 2007 executive ZF box, to a turbo diesel (chrysler VM engine zf 8 speed box) Ghibli
and i love both , the QP feels more like luxury car , the Ghibli feels modern and very quick for a v6 single turbo diesel, theres only a couple of seconds in 0-6 but the fuel costs are like a ford focus, the Ghibli is not old school luxury (jag or Bentley but is still as nice a ride and quite inside, as good a high end bmw or audi ,but they dont have the Maserati driving feel ( i cant explain that feeling sorry ) imo, good luck
