I do like your new toy Ross - very nice and great looking bit of kit. Are you taking on the banana from Maf :)

As moving is out :) and renting a garage is out :( I agree with others that PPF is the next best option for your requirements, if budget is a limit, for the cost of PPF you could have ceramic coating applied 2-3 times (4-6yrs).

I would suggest not to over think this in terms of options, I would set a budget and see what options, service and protection that will get you. As you are finding looking at lots of options and selecting one, only to find its expensive.

I won't do nothing with a nice looking car like that, at a minimum I'd get a good wax applied like a top end Zymol product, just to help give a little protection against the cover. OR don't use a cover and just jetwash it once in a while.

Ceramic Coating is the next best thing after PPF in terms of looking after the paintwork when using an outdoor cover. Ceramic coatings are great but they aren't fully scratch resistant, if the cover or car is dirty the coating could get scratched. good news: it's the coating getting scratch and not the paint (if its not deep).

Graphene coating is very interesting and could be the next big thing, My testing is currently on hold for this but I will be interested to see how if performs against some of the top current ceramics.

Agreed, with many of you.

I would go for some ceramic coating to protect the paint, but I still want to wash and wax my car as part of the ownership enjoyment.

So it is still nice to see how a bit of washing and wax transforms the car, besides what else do you do with the current lockdown?

I wonder if we are still allowed to drive with no destination? In fact, I wonder if you guys feel less motivated taking the car out nowadays?

If it’s outside, but on a private drive, I’d say ceramic. But I’d not want to keep a bright yellow convertible Lambo on the street, so if that’s the case, I’d look for the most local private garage/ car park space. In my London days, twice I had my Lambo’s parked privately, hidden away, in rented car park spaces, within walking distance of my then homes. The cars were safe, but accessable.

This.

I’d rent a space on a drive or better yet, in a garage. London is full of tossers that won’t think twice about damaging a yellow Lambo thinking that the owner can afford it and somehow it’s ok to do that. Also, they are pain to paint match. A friend had his green Huracan keyed in London and the paint match is very difficult.

If that was mine there’s no way I’d leave it on the road, covered or not, have to be in doors for me
