Not for the money! Didn’t you go to Scotverness for yours?

Yes, bit north of Perth. Snow stopped collection for a month last February / March. The dealer used a company with a covered transporter to bring it down to Leicester, where he was based. The same company did the job on its return trip from delivering a Lambo from Cornwall to Edinburgh.

I mainly get a train when collecting cars. Can do a smidge of work or reading while on train so not total waste of time.

Going to pick the XJ up tomorrow morning from just west of Leamington and is 3hrs ish and 46 quid.

Newbury to Chester is circa 4 hours and 105 quid. But expensive for train ticket but still best way isn't it?

A driver and 2 extra fuelled journeys for driving so driving makes a little less sense. You can get delays with trains of course but can get traffic with driving so although I'm not a fan of trains they make most sense often for me to collect a car.

It's a ballache with 4 changes, will get the old man to come with me and an early start. It will be under £100 fuel in both cars....

Fair enough.....useful having the old man there for cheap or free labour

I don't have that option anymore unfortunately as all my lot are down on south cost now.....very inconsiderate.

I often am happy to pay more to get cabs or use other methods than train as hate train at best of time as I often have to go in to London only to come back out. With fast train from PB to Kings Cross in about 15 mins or so it isn't so bad.

Funnily enough for me to go from Potters Bar to Honeybourne I'll be going PB to Kings Cross to Paddington then west to Slough, Oxford up to Honeybourne. Weird route you'd think.
