I've spent a lot on OTM June 2020 equity options this week to the point my bookie phone up to ask if I wanted some rugby/cricket entertainment - it's like the old days!

FABULOUS! Great to hear! Would be intrigued to know your take on all of this - so far I've bored everybody with my "what has happened" analysis - which is no good to anybody wanting to know what's going to happen ...

Chaps,

Have just done a quick volume analysis on Greatland, and it seems the majority of buyers are below 4. In fact, 3.77 is the volume point of control (the price area with the most volume) for the year so far.

What does this mean? Price has recently successfully bounced off 4. However, whilst a break below 4 will "shake out" many longs, it's not necessarily the end of the rally. 4 is a key psychological level, but (if my analysis is correct) there are more orders sitting at 3.77, and this is actually a stronger support area.

It's important to define your exit strategy: will gold continue to rise against a soaring USD? Is USD the new safe-haven? Who knows! However, gold is in a massive volatility squeeze.

Only my thoughts - not advice!

I’ll opt for Gold will continue to rise in all currencies. Buy pullbacks.

To Clarify my thoughts- "It's important to define your exit strategy: will gold continue to rise against a soaring USD?"

I view Gold as a currency, so given this

Euro in big trouble once again...potential no deal on table once more wont help. Uk leaving wont help either! The Ponzi needs more Ponzi.

GBP has had a good run but analysts see a pullback up to 7% if no deal is a possibility.....which it once again appears to be- can Europe handle no deal given the state of its lack of economy?

Aud, at Historic lows v usd$ and will continue to struggle as it is so reliant on China- COVI-19 issues!

So if you expect these currencies to fall further buy USD$ currency or indeed Gold (priced in USD$) and convert back to the base currency when the rate favours you.

Good way to achieve better than paltry bank rates!! As always DYOR.

More bad news which is good....unexpectedly
Proof, if it were needed, that 15 years of QE in Japan has achieve zero.....just debt. :lol2:

Nice bounce from Greatland +23%
Whilst NCYT went parabolic +67%
Seems investors think there’s gonna be a lot of demand for CoVid-19 test kits!

Ok so I’m now in both. GGP and NCYT.
Took an age to deal because I think the system I use (Oz) was affected by Us holiday yesterday.london trading updates were fckd..
So I’ve now established positions in gold Miner GGP, cheap bet against a Ponzi system.

And Coronavirus discoverer NCYT ( this to me looks like a crypto bet.- if it’s a good virus test this will go exponential)- if it doesn’t, I’ve had bigger bar bills.

Steady start to the week for GGP which is nice.

Interesting times for NCYT. Wouldn’t know what good looks like for them though in the context of this virus which you would imagine is only a temporary issue.

best of luck

It's going to be an interesting week: very weak data from Japan and Germany, together with AAPL's Coronavirus warning, thrown into US monthly options expiration this Friday.

So goes AAPL, so goes the market, they say.

Typically, not a lot happens during this week, and the markets are HIGHLY manipulated by "Big Money" to exert as much pain as is possible upon the crowd. The price movement is usually illogical, so don't be surprised by what you see.

One might reasonably have thought that AAPL's warning would have given rise to a greater price fall than $5.95 today, and that the market would have "priced in" what they are saying. Problem is that, to exert "maximum pain" at options expiration, Big Money needs the price to settle at $315 on Friday (price closed at $319 today). See below:

Will be interesting to see what happens!

P.S: Gold has moved very nicely today, and that "squeeze" is ready to fire https://www.tradingview.com/x/CmkzBx3V/

Cheers JonW,
Any increase better than a bank interest rate is the reason I invest....otherwise what’s the point....keep it in the bank (if you trust them).
I can see both of these doing double digit returns. The virus co is a sad one as it’s profiting from a terrible situation - but that’s life.....or life saving I guess.

I've broken Greatland down into 1/4 day (128 mins) - it appears to be adhering logically to the EMAs (see below). The crowd looks at 1 hr, 2hr etc. charts, but that doesn't accurately reflect how the day is divided up: there are 510 mins in the FTSE day!
Good luck!

My daughter was playing with some rather expensive LEGO yesterday.....we’d been reading Jack and the Beanstalk and she was interested in the Gold...:..must be genetic.
So I showed her.

Gold up again.
Added another couple of miners yesterday.
ALK to follow today.65789

These all have exposure to palladium which is going mental just now. Palladium is required in Cat Converters for petrol cars and as emissions tighten it should rise further.

Currently updating my stop losses daily. Glad I am as AG fell 8% plus last night- I was out at 4%.

DYOR as always.
