Here at SportsMaserati, we like to think we have a forum about cars which has some fringe content around shares and politics. At times of instability this can become skewed and end up with a lot of posts about non car related stuff.

This can have the unintended consequence of putting current and future members off posting and we have been clear that we will be more active in moderating off topic content.

We would encourage all members to bear in mind that opinions posted here are not supported or fact checked by the moderators and so should be considered as such. We would encourage everyone to do their own research regarding the media bias of sources quoted and form their own opinion.

If we feel that threads are becoming divisive or pushing a particular narrative too strongly, they will be closed.

As you were.

Thanks for removing the “ZH fact check” opinion piece.
Someone really ought to fact check the fact checkers as they certainly don’t want you knowing the facts.

Back to engines etc. I may be about to buy a couple of V8’s today!

As you know, there is plenty of space between the facts to create a narrative in support of a particular point of view. I removed the link because I wanted to encourage folk to have their own critical thought process.

If I were to post a link, it would be no different to you posting the links you do. It’s a link to someone’s opinion which they publish on the internet. Which is, perhaps, why they shouldn’t be posted.

Turned out they l weren’t V8s. They were V’6s.

An Unusual error by me and contrary to Bigbob’s observations ;) purchased by my consistent ability to be correct on major issues.

cheers :conspiracy:

GBP/USD update: I wonder how many people are aware that GBP/USD closed stronger yesterday than it was before the mini-budget. The press certainly won’t report this, but the (1 hour) chart below is incontrovertible. Not saying any more than this - don’t shoot the messenger!

Yup it did indeed.
The unconventional emergency (temporary , you may recall Bernanke said QE was temporary too and that was a decade ago!!) intervention by the BOE has manipulated it higher for now.

None of the underlying issues are rectified, if anything confidence in the Govt is worse……and the BOE are now even more trapped In their options.

Its just been proven that they cannot stop printing money out of thin air!!!

So we’ve now got raging inflation with raging mad BOE money printing which is inflationary.
That’ll fix it.

Fundamentals always win.

On the day Reaganomics rears its head again, we're hearing of contra deals of decrepit houses for quality cocaine? Clearly this is more than a coincidence....

As per thread title
Look at ASML quoted in Euro so a currency risk too.
I am not a holder (yet) but maybe soon.
Do your own research and don't blame me if your fingers get burned:cool:
Dave, if this is the right one, I think it looks very promising on the technicals. Price has formed a bullish engulfing candle at demand on the weekly, and there is a volatility squeeze waiting to fire (marked with an arrow at the bottom of the chart).106668

On the daily chart, there's some overhead supply (resistance) to overcome, and then a nice volume profile gap above that, which price should fill quickly. You'd want to see price get past 473.85 to open the door to the volume gap. Good luck if you go for it ...

Looks like ASML are also on Nasdaq which may be a better one than Euro?
The structure is a little different with the Nasdaq stock, but both have launched themselves off the double bottom demand area and both have the same area of overhead supply which price needs to break through in order to keep rising. In plain English, a lot of shares are held just above where price is now: if those who hold at this level are happy to break even, and they sell, supply may outstrip demand and price may fall. If, on the other hand, price can overcome this supply with strong demand, price will rise. In the Nasdaq variant, price needs to get above the 476 area to find itself in the volume gap above. Note how quickly price filled the volume gap below (as there were few shares here to be sold), so there was little "resistance" to the move.

How many of you have received a telephone call from your investment advisor over the last couple of weeks explaining what’s going on and what you should do about it?

……………….????

How many of you have instigated a meeting?

Your financial situation is going backwards I suspect.

Take control.
