Service AND oil change reset device

Ok so I had a 2014 diesel Ghibli. For that I purchased an OBD Star 200 Pro. This reset the time and milage service "timers" and there was no "oil change soon" or anything like that
I now have a 2019 Ghibli diesel. (I think manufactured in late 2018). After servicing at MD they forgot to reset the oil change light but did do the milage/time one. They have since reset this oil change light also.
The question I have is do I need a new device to cover the oil change light? If so does anyone have one? From a bit of research this might do the trick..? Since there is no indication of the oil change time or milage to go I can't check this by trying the one I have got.

Bit of an update on this... OBD star got back and said you need the cable bypass, which involves (I think!) taking the trim off under the steering column and plugging in a lead to bypass the SGW.
How To Bypass Maserati Secure Gateway Module SGM for Scan Tool Bi-Directional Controls - YouTube I realise this is a Levante but assuming Ghibli is the same...

I tried my OBD star on my mates 2019 Ghibli and it didnt work (as in just plugging it in and trying to reset the service indicator)

No not heard of that one. Its the secure gateway thats the issue. My OBD star worked fine on my 2014 (pre SGW) Ghibli

What year is yours?

2014, but when I have the software set up, you're welcome to give it a try. Can't recall where you're based though.

Are manufacturers still not obliged to fit some manual way of resetting that, however convoluted it may be?

They are now. Can't recall at what year.
For those before 'that' date I use my AP200 (I think) Autel unit recommended here

The issue is that Maserati put a security box on the underside of the steering column from MY 2017 that stops the generic tool resetting it. We have a Leonardo and we also have a dongle that we have to plug into the security box port on these later cars to reset it.

Would the bypass cables work? Ive read that it can cause stored faults?
Also is there any issue with just leaving it lit? Theres no limp mode after a certain time is there?

Result.. I tried my OBD star 200 on mine and it worked... I can only think it may have been one of the last ones before the SGW was started to be fitted.

Never have been in UK/Europe to my knowledge it is a USA requirement however, hence some crossover to UK/EU cars but not everything.
