Watching it again tonight, not sure how many times, in a semi drunken haze, but how know when ever realised those french lot were stitching him up is beyond belief, 89 was a farce...

Beggars belief.. inspiring and totally deflating, it’s obvious some people lack moral conviction in order to “win”

Remember also, previously the number two driver was expected to hand his car over if his team mate suffered damage!! Imagine that now

Yes, watching it again as well. Still makes me wince watching Martin Donnelly laying on that track.

Watching Senna over the edge on a different planet (until he hit the barrier) at Monaco is something else. Crazy & amazing driver all rolled into one soul.

Great film....most watch it again when I get home. Martin Donnelly was a gent. Met him at the Lotus factory and he was Liz's driving instructor on track for the day.

How Donnelly survived that accident is a miracle & even more that he kept his leg that seemed mangled. Many weren't so lucky.

Not seen it for a while, as above must get it out and watch again.

Remember watching him at the 93 European GP at Donnington in the wet, there were some laps of amazing car control on the edge

Senna is a hero of mine. I received the DVD as a present and it is still sealed up I cannot watch it!
Inadvertently in my drunken haze last night I stumbled upon the end of the TV prog and was immediately hooked. So today I will find the DVD.........................................
I remember that awful weekend vividly, strangely I remember Rubens going off sideways in the air into the barrier more than Roland or Ayrton., but memory plays tricks sometimes.

It's a brilliant docufilm, the behind the scenes driver briefings were a bit of an eye opener.

Agree.....Amaxed me how he got in and drove the Elise when we saw him. He still had a very pronounced limp. he was pretty handy in that car as well.

I remember the day clearly because I didn't see it. I was working in Riyadh, Sunday being a normal working day there I was stuck in meetings all day and the news came over the Reuters telex feed. None of us could believe it. I was desperate for more information.
