Selecting Neutral in Gransport to save clutch when stopped in traffic?

Ah........but you didn't say creeping along in traffic, you said coasting up to stationary traffic, completely different. ;)


Seriously though, one of the amazing things about these cars, is that they sound just as gorgeous doing 15-20 mph through town as they do singing on the open road! (unless of course you coast in neutral) :)
Please accept my sincere apologies for being imprecise. :p

There's a bit of road near me where traffic slows and creeps along slowly with a lot of stop start due to traffic lights - far less than 15mph. When approaching it I'll let the car coast for a bit rather than drive slowly with the resultant clutch slip.

Pretty sure it won't slip at all as long as you're over 1500 revs. And with close throttle it'll disengage before stall speed.....It's accelerating to crawl that will wear it faster.

The solution to the problem of clutch slip is quite simple get yourself a manual problem sorted Ha ..
