Seeking Granturismo MC-shift & advice

Hi all,

I regretfully sold my 997 911 just over a year ago due to price increase and lack of use (wfh), and my kids had got too tall for the back.
I’m now looking for a Granturismo S MC shift to replace it. Budget of 30k.

Her indoors has clearly stated I’m not allowed to run a winter snotter alongside it. (Family car is an XC90)
I have found a 2012 pre-facelift, 4.7 with MC shift on 37k miles within budget, which I am viewing on Saturday.
It has carbon fibre interior trim and black, part alcantara seats.
Also has CF door handles, mirrors, spoiler
I have also found a specialist place local to me for a PPI.

Questions:
1- At 37k miles, how much clutch life should I expect (I know this can be read via diagnostic)? I have seen reports of 30% wear at this mileage. Does this sound about right or does it vary wildly depending if it has ever been a city car?
2- How can I tell if it has Skyhook?
Is the exhaust going to be valved with a sport button (or is that button related to skyhook?)
3- Please could someone explain service intervals for spark plugs? Are they changed at every major service? (Major was done in December 600 miles ago).
4- At 37k should I budget for new brakes soon? (I understand this depends on use, but also aware it’s a heavy car).
5- What kind of cost should I allow for brakes? Front only or all?
6- As it will be my only car, it will see rain, how much should I budget for corrosion-proofing? (ACF-50 or similar)
7- how inconvenient (wide) are the doors for public parking spaces with a rear passenger?
8- were heated seats standard?
9- I’ve checked specialist sellers stock (dicky & nuvolari) but there is nothing in budget that tickles my fancy. Is this a bad thing? (as in they would have bought this car if it were good)

sorry for such a long list of questions- I intend to scrutinise the paperwork before being seduced by the engine note/test drive.

Thanks in advance.

James (midlands based if anyone has similar for sale)

I think a PPI would answer a lot of your questions if you could agree it with the seller

I know the MC shift advert you’re referring too

The seller has agreed in principle to a PPI but has stated his bottom price. The PPI would be after a (hopefully refundable) deposit placed.

what are your thoughts on the car? Seller has only had it for 12months which is also making me cautious.

Happy to talk you through it but don’t have time to write answers to all that. I assume the car in Nantwich.

Welcome and well done for reading up on the key points!

Dicky will see you straight, but on a couple of points, clutch seem to last on average about 40k miles. Some much longer depending on use.

Brakes wise, there are options to reduce costs. Underseal will be about £500.

Well, after a very useful chat with dicky, the seller has decided to take the car off the market and keep it.

Dicky has a beauty for sale, has he not twisted your arm?
I’m after MC shift.

Now seen a 2010 with new clutch but unsure what year the engine variator issue was fixed.

I have the Maxsys/Autel diagnostic report but not digested it yet, aside from 0%clutch wear.

My heart is set on one now
