Seat heater control

I've noticed that every so often my seat heater comes on even though I haven't touched the switch. I had a look yesterday and it seems as if the rocker switch flicks between 0 and 1 if I even touch it rather than moving it. I've had a look on Eurospares and the switch is over £100 so wanted to know if anyone else has had an issue with their seat heater and sorted it or if it is just a case of replacing the rocker.

It's probably been dripped on by water from the roof.

You might try taking it apart and seeing if the switch is simple to remove

If you remove the switch it will have its manufacture and part number and you will be able to find it somewhere online for pence, like RS.

I assume the black plastic finger roller will remove from the switch as that you will not be able to find.

It probably just water that has crept in and corroded contacts, it happened to my Spyder.

Nope. Cant find the exact same one, GM and SAAB are close but I thing you will have to remove it and find out what the base switch is then change your exiting thumbwheel into it.

The headlight level adjusters are the same type of switch, google search term is 'dimmer headlight switch' or 'thumbwheel switch'

My gt s sometimes does a similar thing, particularly if the aircon is on auto. Car is only used occasionally so I've not investigated further as yet..

Seat heater switch

I had a problem with mine when I first got the car 3 years ago. It was permanently on full regardless of what I did with the switch. I sprayed some WD40 into it by the little wheel and it has worked perfectly since.
