Scuttle Slosh

Water slosh on acceleration/deceleration.
Sounds like the scuttle. Don't think it's me boot.
Too intent on enjoying the first fine day blast down the Fosse to inspect closely, but couldn't see any obvious drain holes under the bonnet around the scuttle. Any hints where they may be?
(Obviously only apparent at low car park speeds, gloooorious engine..................)

Ive just had this exact same issue. It was blocked drains in the scuttle and the water backed up and filled up the sills. Several litres drained out. It also got into the electrics but fortunately no lasting damage once everything has dried out. Had some dash light issues but now resolved.

Probably wants sorting sooner rather than later in case it does start affecting your electrics like mine. Good luck.

Sorry forgot to say the garage cleaned the drains out from below when they had the car on the ramp. Not sure where exactly they exit. I think you would have to remove the scuttle to access from above.

Sounds like another northern roll thread. Scuttle slosh - a dough made into a round shape and baked to become a bacon, sausage or burger holding device. In normal land known as a bread fkin roll. :p

Are the drain plugs self evident underneath. Where arethey?. I'm loath to have the bother of a main dealer or 4 hour round trip to Southampton if a decent ramp and poke is sufficient?

I would be poking a stiff wire down the scuttle drains first before bothering with ramps etc. I will await the comments....... ;) oooh suits you sir etc.

I think the issue is, no one knows the locations of the drains from with on top or underneath

....and water can get from there (16) down into what sounds like the sills under the passenger door?

really!

Cant see it myself, but will have a poke around to see if it clears it.

Presume the Windscreen wipers will need to come off before I can get to the 'scuttle' area (6)?

No idea. Tested upper drains around wiper scuttle. Drains ok. Wet feet.
Still got water sloshing in sills

Does sound odd that that would be the culprit-

If it’s possible for the cills to fill with water, you would expect a drain to have been out there.
We all worry about the subframe, the next issue could be cills rotting out.
