Also, here is the speedo issue I was telling you about...its shoots up to 100 and stays there

Where does the speedo take its readings from?

The instrument cluster is mainly controlled by the Bridge CAN ECU. This module takes the average speed data from the ABS module and converts this to analog for the Speedo. Check all connections / solder joints on the instrument cluster and check the same on the Bridge CAN ECU.

As far as I know, there are only 2 ground wires from the lower bulkhead going to the rear of the valve covers....I made those myself with thicker gauge braided wire to specifically avoid chasing electrical gremlins

THANK YOU EVERYBODY!!! I really appreciate all the wisdom here and help

I let me friend, 04 Bentley Arnage owner, drive the Masi and he thinks its down on power and not at 100%

I don't have another 3200 to benchmark against....iv arranged to meet with a another 3200 owner in Dubai and we will drive each others cars to give feedbacks to each other

In the mean time, can you guys post pics of your center console, the PO put a cheap 90s style Sony, JVC style radio which doesn't even look like it belongs there....I'm trying to go back to an OE or OE+ look

Also, the turbos start spooling at 2k RPM right?
Turbos will probably spin from idle but you don't really get much boost until you are closer to 3000 rpm. Between 3000 and 6000 rpm it should pull like a train.
The flickering lights is not right for sure. suggests your 12 volts power is not smooth, which makes me wonder if your battery is ok? Do the lights flicker just when the engine is running or do they do this when the engine is not running too?

I do have intermittent ABS/ASR faults popping up for 0.5 secs and permanent NO ASR so maybe that's the cause?
Found this while doing the eBay rounds, he repairs the ABS module

Light flicker only at idle, once you are driving, its steady which makes me regulator?

Amazing work you should get an award for services to the cause. Enjoy
Thank you!

Id also like to slap the engineers who overly complicated this car! Obviously, common sense was not in the meetings when they decided certain things

"Light flicker only at idle, once you are driving, its steady which makes me regulator?"
Yes possibly the alternator is not 100%? whats the idle rpm of your car?? it should be 1000 rpm if its running lower than that that could be an issue?

1000rpm steady
Could just be a wheel speed sensor….But permanent NO ASR suggests other issues.

Im thinking ABS module...ill go on an empty street and jam the brakes to see if ABS functions and will also ask my Ferrari owner friends where they get their SD2 codes read other than the dealer

Another question, standing start, car in gear, rpm at 1500 to 2000rpm and let go of the throttle, it would do a nice smokey launch right?

Mines just takes off which gives credit to the low on power theory

At lastly, has nobody done any air filter or cold air intake upgrades on theirs?

Looks good except they develop 400HP so I suspect while this looks good it probably has not helped and in fact might have made things worse, as I would expect a stock 3200 to deliver 110-115HP. It also seems to me a little counter intuitive to suggest that messing with the turbo boost would improve torque at low revs, since turbos don't do much at low revs. I would further suggest that the stock air filters are not particularly restrictive, unless someone on here knows better?

In latest news
On of my pump assemblies has a hairline crack and is slowly leaking
Any idea where to get one?

Does this nipple connect to anything?

TB was going crazy occasionally, buzzing after switching off, hunting or revving to 4k+ rpm on a cold start or plain not receiving signal so Dave to the rescue with the Volvo unit

uyPyjt.jpg

The AC compressor was bad and its pretty much the same Sanden compressors we use in our muscle cars so replaced it with some minor alterations which seems to fixed my flickering lights situation

Replaced the noisy aux belt rollers with Alfa ones which are considerably cheaper

Also, I got rid or the cramped airboxes and let her breathe better

Im planning to delete all the cats (primary and secondary) X-pipe it and keep the stock mufflers. In terms of pipe diameter, whats recommended? 2.75"? 3"?

Update:

Good news and bad news
Drove around 1,000KM and sorted some bits and pieces, got the original auction reports and my mileage is verified (I was scared its been tampered with after the car left Japan)

8bMKtC.jpg

And now the bad news....

I was driving my wife's car back home while a friend was driving the 3200, he was complaining that it was low on power for a 3.2 twin turbo car

I didn't think much of it, maybe limp home mode or something. At the signal, I start smelling burning oil and looked in the rear view mirror to see the 3200 is now a coal powered car with plumes of white smoke

Removed the exhaust to be greeted with this view
gOKsBQ.jpg

Ah well, ordered new ceramic ball bearings, rebuild kit and billet turbines and billet shafts from Rose Rage Turbos
ZXPwUf.jpg

I planned to drop the subframe and remove the turbos but my mechanic said he can do it without dropping the subframe or taking the engine out. I placed a bet on that and I lost

They are now getting rebuilt...fingers crossed

Sorry to see that after so much work already. Might want to replace all of the turbo oil lines just to be sure.

My theory is its the years the car was parked which caused the shaft to get weak, if it was an oil starvation issue, the turbos wouldn't last 5 mins after 1st start
She's throwing up all the issues now, so you can attend to them, then enjoy many years and miles of trouble free motoring.

Agree, passion and heart is whats required dealing with these cars...money wouldn't hurt either hahaha

It would be interesting to read how you progress with the turbo rebuild. A couple of years ago I have been in contact with several experts and they all assured me that the 3200 IHI's couldn't be rebuilt...

I bought the kit from here:

He should be done by Saturday, he has that special machine that spins the turbos to max rpm and checks for any shaft play/imperfections

I watched Wheeler Dealers have that done on a Nobles turbos last night :)
