RFT's

not sure if this has been discussed before, but has anyone ever had bullcrap excuses from tyre dealers why they won't repair a run flat tyre, noticed a nice one inch 5mm bolt in my x5 tyre this morning, had to try 3 dealers before getting it repaired with a mushroom patch in the centre of tread, whilst, I understand there are some repairs that should not be attempted, there is absolutely no reason why rft's can't be repaired as long as it's within prescribed area and not been run without air

Never use RFT, every car I have driven with them has been horrible and the few I have owned were swapped within a week and were much better for the change.

often thought about swapping for normal and even my local bmw main dealer says it makes a huge improved difference to the ride due to softer sidewalls, problem is there is nowhere to put a spare, rears are 11jx20 and fronts 10jx20, so big buggers

Should have got a Range Rover, I get a full size spare under the boot floor no problem
