i'm afraid to say here is another one I lost at auction and driven by the lady herself, god I wish I could turn the clock back, I bottled it at about 55k if I remember correctly, nice original car, everything tallied with numbers and some original paperwork, always one other bugger at auction that's determined to get the car as well, think I remember it was a Canadian that secured it, museum I think, starting to get depressed about the ones that got away now:sad3:

I’m warming to Audis. Well, Audis with V8s. Maybe some turbos too. Spent the day shooting something for the mag, was rather smitten with it until I remembered that looking after one would make Maserati ownership seem like running a Kia...

You should come visit Nayf. They don't all have to be that way. Reminds me I must contact JJ regarding setting a date for the 90 quattro in spring.

Well it was an RS6 MkI...
Warmed to it much more than I did the V10. Was entertaining at legal speeds. The V10... wasn’t. Do prefer the looks of the V10, especially the saloon...

Thankyou for the kind offer - JJ and I will sort something out. And I might actually fit in the MCV properly these days

Just spotted this thread and have enjoyed seeing some great photos, especially my favourite SWB Quattro. I'm old enough to have seen them in action as Group B rally cars in the mid/late 80s and later as rallycross weapons!

I've only ever owned one Audi. It was from the 90s and had 6 cylinders

I bought it for pennies about 6 years ago and enjoyed tinkering and improving it to the condition in the photos. It wasn't particularly enjoyable to drive, I found it a bit bland and lacking in occasion. I sold it a year later for more than twice what I had put into it. The buyer flew down from Scotland to north London and drove it back. Sadly he didn't make it home in the car as it was rear-ended on a motorway a couple of hours into his journey and subsequently written-off.
