Well it was an RS6 MkI...
Warmed to it much more than I did the V10. Was entertaining at legal speeds. The V10... wasn’t. Do prefer the looks of the V10, especially the saloon...

Thankyou for the kind offer - JJ and I will sort something out. And I might actually fit in the MCV properly these days

Test drove a V10 S6 back in the day when new with huge expectation followed by huge disappointment.

Sad to say the only other car that did that to me was waiting for the Maserati Ghibli demos to eventually arrive as I thought I really wanted one. Then I didn't.

RS6 on the other hand truly a car for all seasons but indeed big bills can await.

Back in the mid to late 80's I had a B2 Audi GT coupe with the 5 cylinder 2.2 litre engine in. '83MY I think. Lovely car and great all round engine. Sold it when it got to 100k as I thought it would soon start to fall apart but there's plenty with twice that mileage on the road still, so I should have held onto it!

Superb Car the 20 valve Audi sport quatro, many a time i spent in mid winter watching all the group B's tooling around forest stages, one of the best sounding cars on the circuit, still like watching youtube videos of these, the skill of drivers in those days was eyewatering considering they didn't have a lot of technical wizardry like nowadays.:rofl5:
