Anyone advise me and where to 'prise' to get the middle dashboard air vents out?

the blades have become detached from the spacer mechanism, so they all 'flop' around like bored teenagers!

You need to remove the piano black trim that goes right through the center of your dash under the clock and vents. It just un-clips. (pull towards you i think, although plastic trim tools are the best thing to use). That reveals some bolt/screws for the vents and clock.
I don't know how it is attached to the upper part of the dash, but I would think it un-clips once the lower bolts are removed.

Just done it during my carplay install and I took some pics.

Yes, remove the trim by hooking a hook tool under the end nearest the steering column and pull. Lever it as you go along making sure not to mark the dash as you lever.

Once removed there there are a couple of hex bolts that holds it in:

Great - Thanks all.
Job done.

Was a little fiddly, both getting the lovres to click back into place, and getting the unit back into it’s original setting!

But all done now and looking like it should.

Thanks again for the support all.

Interesting that the dash trim is easily removable and could be swapped or hydrodipped for a carbon fibre finish...

It all comes off the same, just unclips. I did mine a couple of months ago. I was originally going to get it hydrodipped, but decided on giving wrapping a go as it's easily reversable.
Came out pretty good I thought. I was gonna do a thread about it, but haven't got round to it yet.

Very nice. Been considering doing something crazy with mine as it’s all a bit black in there.

Did you do it yourself?

How did it cope with the bends, did you have to heat it or shrink it?

Looks impressive, much better than the silver which is a bit naff.

Red trim. Pick out that caliper colour. :)

Or maybe experiment in the safe-play comfort of Photoshop first, just to be sure.
