Hello Maserati Enthusiasts, it’s been a while since I’ve posted on here. Wanted to share the QR502 removable front license plate for the GranTurmiso that does NOT require any drilling! Here’s a Video on how to install the QR502 Bespoke Front License Plate Mount with quick release plate arm.

Looks terrible, both on and off. And blocks air to the radiator. So overall, it's a "no" from me.

I think the idea is to fit this for a drive too and from a show and remove when you arrive. Practical from that point of view, but not pretty true enough.

If it had a swan neck mount that put the plate in the original position without the holes it would be more palatable I would suggest.

Thanks everyone for the input.
Two things:
  1. I Don't want a Front License Plate either!
  2. I also Don’t want to Drill holes into my bumper!!
Zep you’re absolutely correct.

The plate is meant to come off and on literally in seconds with one stainless steel bolt when I get a ticket...Yup I got a ticket and that’s why I developed the QR502. The base mount (No Drilling) can be mounted anywhere along the grille even all the way to the side, this won’t block air flow, and can be removed with two stainless steel bolts in minutes. I’m not planning on driving around or having this on all the time, No Way! But when I get a +$120 No Front License Plate Ticket...it’s going on to visit the police and save $$$.

Yup that’s a $121 No Front License Plate ticket from the city of San Francisco with fines is another $45!!! WTF!

Drill holes? No!
Zip tie? No Go!
On and off in seconds? Yup!

Thanks CatmanV2. You would think with the pandemic they would be a little courteous?! I got a No Front Plate ticket while parked and the meter was paid for?! WTF!!! Why do I live in San Francisco?

Was lucky enough to work (on and off) in San Bruno, courtesy of $multinational. Arranged my trips so I could spend many weekends mooching up and down market and Embarcadero. Had some great food, great drinks, great company. Mrs C still has a necklace that I bought her on Market that she treasures :beauty:

That’s fair enough. Here in the U.K. things are a little different, we get a smaller fine for no plate than if we have an incorrect plate.

Front plates are mandatory in most of europe, as compared to the states.
I had a camaro friend with the same system, but it was using a custom piece fitted to the bottom of the bumper. Much better solution.

So dont think this is going to get a lot of use over in europe

Thanks ChrissGT for the input. I researched a similar under bumper product. I just could not bring myself to drill holes underneath, even if not visible. I wanted something that completely installs/removes in minutes without drilling holes. Cheers!

Mission Accomplished! The police officer was very cool and indicated he would not put a front plate on a Maserati and continued to say “...nice toddler seat in the back seat...”

With respect, I don’t get it.
That looks worse than a standard plate in the usual position (in my opinion).
I will stick with no front plate, 4 years and 20,000 without incident.

Thanks for the input. As you can see in one of the photos it’s not meant to stay on but only when needed. I agree with no front plate but also when I looked at the other products they required drilling holes. I rarely see a GTS with front plates and mine goes on only when I get a ticket, and living in California eventually you’ll be hit with a No front plate ticket =$120.
