Like any auction cheap might not necessarily mean cheap. It doesn't look as bad as that makes out, but I guess there's a difference between what a secondhand buyer expects and dealers who want a quick turnaround (who, in fairness, make up the bulk of BCA punters, rather than specialist dealers) want.

Sadly not. But does not mean that it might be inexpensively brought up to a decent standard. Obviously between the last auction and now the clutch finally gave up the ghost.
