Rear left window regulator maserati quattroporte

It’s a bit rich in the description saying it’s a genuine Maserati part crafted from high quality materials….
They are clearly crafted from cr+p materials, otherwise they wouldn’t keep failing!
And they want £370+vat for them. I’ve never had window mechanisms fail in any car I’ve owned, but my second one has just failed, left rear too.
 
I think that if your regulator keeps failing you must have something wrong with the window guides. Either something is not well aligned, or the guides are rusted, need fresh grease or something is binding for some reason along the window travel. There can be a lot of dirt that gets packed tight inside the seals, you might want to remove all the window seals and clean them completely.

I had a rusted window guide on the front passenger door last year, the poor thing was totally gone, the motor was struggling to lift the window:

It’s not the same one failed. Had a drivers front window a couple of years ago and the other week, the left rear. I wasn’t even using the window when the rear went, in fact I can’t remember last time I used it. I just got in the car, started up as normal and heard a crack/pop sound from the rear door. Thought that was odd, but quickly thought window mechanism could be the culprit and sure enough it was when I tried the button to lower…
