Just been looking at this 3200 on ebay and it looks in great condition for the miles. Not a grey leather fan but it even I think it looks OK against the blue.....Price feels about 1k to much for the miles..what do you think?

Also i see its not that far from me so may be tempted to have a look....History seems OK apart from nothing in 2009...Would imagine that was mileage driven though....So thoughts...is it suicide with that mileage.

Looks very well presented, Andy, but im a bit concerned it doesn't mention having had the timing chains done at or around 68K miles altho it mentions cambelt change at that mileage, remember chains are the expensive one to do , and altho there are atleast 2 indies who can do them in situ the price is approx £1200-£1500 , i would say the mileage is not a problem but the chains are a must so good to bargain him down

Obviously being a manual endfloat must be checked to be within tolerances and a good look around the clutch pedal to make sure all the actuating rods have been fitted correctly , surprising how many have been fitted the reverse way round , so definately an indie inspection i think

Yep, sounds like a nice genuine car. I'd guess that at 92k miles it's probably had the front end painted at some point if he says it doenst have any stone chips at all.

If it's been well serviced then that mileage may not be a problem. Endfloat needs measuring as Loz says. Clutch has done 14k miles - could start to slip or could last the same again, depending on how it's been driven. Brakes, exhaust and throttlebody done though. It even comes with an extra 20bhp for free...!

Re the cam chains, might be a negotiating point but to be honest it wouldnt be a deal breaker for me. Some main dealers are apparently now suggesting this is an "optional" and that it was added to the service schedule as an insurance when they didnt know if there would be a problem with chain wear. Two different (and well regarded) independants said pretty much the same thing to me when I was looking for my old 3200.

Having said all of that, depending on your budget I'd suggest another couple of £k to get something with lower miles....purely from a resale perspective. However, for £10k it's hard tro beat.

Agree with your thoughts...It would def have had paint. Not many cars 10 years old that haven't to be honest....

In no particular order:
No underbonnet pics which is a shame but it does look good, and it's very well presented.
Do I spy stainless back boxes too?
It is high mileage but at least you know it's been driven.
If you look at the seller's feedback he's moved a few other cars but not recently, although his record is good.
Warranty?
Buying a high miler is never a problem but selling one might be, so factor that into the price if you can.
It must be worth a look but if you do get serious it would still be prudent to have an indie check it over, and don't forget the RED KEY!!!!!!

The video is a nice touch, and it does look to be well taken care of. However the mantra from everyone as always is get it checked out first, as you well know. Good Luck, and keep us posted..........

He does mention a sports exhaust...

Yep would never buy any Maserati this old without a indi check. He didn't mention the red key either so will be asking....God this is like going back to 2007 with advice when I purchased my last 3200.

Guys, yes, its the yellow hose, and yes, I am very sad!

Looks like Leigh has lost his job and just cant justify running the car, real shame.

The advert states red master key comes with the car.

I think he's put up some new pics - looks excellent...nice colour too.

On the inside, the top of the gearstick looks a bit odd, and strange that the little storage bit next to the handbrake is black....
