Reading error codes on an early 3200GT

my 3200 is from October 2000. I have read everything, I would like to know if today we have the definitive solution. My 3200 has a fixed connector under the dashboard on the left. I put an OBD plug that goes in fine, iLC OBD2 Wireless OBD, but it can't connect with the car ECU. Do you have the ultimate solution for this model?
It maybe the case that, even though you have what appears to be an OBD2 connector, your system is actually pre-OBD2 and will not work with an OBD2 code reader. I think the very last 3200s produced around 2001/2 were actually OBD2, but I think they also produced some cars that were in transition from the old FIAT 3 pin system (like my 1999 3200 has) towards OBD2. Someone on here that’s a little more knowledgeable about this maybe able to advise further.

I believe you are correct, some have new style connector but are not OBD2.

Struggled in the beginning with the male 3 pin connecter being much wider than the ECU's 3 pin female connector

Read and deleted all my old codes

Now, Any idea how to read the ABS/ASR? I have a no ASR error lit up

I'm running Unidiag version 0.5.0.11 which I've just used for the first time today to see if I could get a fault code for my CEL and clear it. I didn't get a code under the Diagnose tab but hit the Clear DTCs button and the CEL isn't coming on anymore; a partial success! I know it connected to the ECU because I had 8FEF 2031 appear under KeyWord Received and I had ECU information under the Identification tab, so it's a bit of a mystery why I didn't get a DTC before hitting the clear button. I'm wondering if there's an issue with:
a) my choice of definition file Unidiag KWP2000 (I don't see a file for the Maserati 3200 amidst all the various FIAT and Alfa files)
b) the VAGKKL + FIATECUSCAN cable which has 4 possible switch positions - 7, 3, 1/9 and 12/13. I actually tried all of these and none of them produced a DTC for the CEL before I hit the clear button

If anyone can help me to solve this mystery / give any advice that would be appreciated.

Hi Guys
How do we diagnose the ABS module?

Here are the steps im following
1. Plug in the positive and negative on the battery side, plug into the ABS module in the engine bay

2. I put the switch to 12/13 since it reflects to ABS
pDLgEW.jpg

3. open UniDiagKWP2000_0_5_0_11
4. switch the definition file to BoschABS57ASRTC_sel
5.change init type to 5 baud init
6. click start comm

Nothing happens, it will gladly read my ECU but wont connect to my ABS module

Any suggestions?

Yes, that’s right. As far as I know the Unidiag software will only work with the engine ECU, it won’t work with any of the other modules such as the ABS. For that you need the Maserati SD2. Hopefully, someone will come along and tell me that I’m wrong or provide another solution as I’m potentially in the same position as you with my 1999 3200GTA.
