There is no rational. I see people driving through blatant red lights every morning, joined a roundabout today, I’m going all way round to leave at 3 o’clock position, I’m all ready transitioning and indicating left and a guy at the 12 o’clock pulls straight out in front of me to turn into my exit... clearly I was wrong, he was driving a Range Rover, I need one....
The roundabout in Dorking is a good one to t-bone idiots like that... A blast on the horn wakes them up!

Thanks. Annoying but not a tragedy.

In some ways a reminder why I am happy with my daily-driver 'industrial' QPV, rather than having some sort of 'precious' concours-level treasure.

A friend has a highly-polished DB9, and if you even walk too close to it he starts to panic.

sounds familiar, in fact none of my family want to ride in my cars normally because I get so anal, no belts, studded wear, zips and defo not food, but finding the right parking spot is the one that really drives them crazy, sometimes do several circuits of a car park

Irrational drivers. One minute they're driving at 80 on a 60mph single lane road.
Then they're doing 60, then 55, then back to 70, then to 40.

Wtf are you doing?

I take it you maintain a steady speed whatever road you go on? On the face of it, not varying your speed to meet changing circumstances would seem to be remarkably reckless. Just a thought.

I know how you feel. It's reached the point with me where I avoid using the car, unless I know I'm going somewhere with decent parking.
I will use the car however for long journeys, although then I'm paranoid about getting a stone chip!!
Unfortunately typical OCD behaviour. Albeit mild, I started to see a therapist who is trying to rid me of these issues. The other day I dropped her home in my daily car- a DS3, which was brought new in March, so I am still a bit fussy about this car too. Outside her house was her husband, so I got out of the car to introduce myself, where upon their neighbour in a W reg Golf complete with tow hook reverses into my car causing over £2,000 worth of damage. My therapist and her husband are both Israeli and without meaning to stereotype are not very careful drivers, their car looking like a banger racer!
The irony of the situation was not lost on me or her, and maybe it was a setup to teach me to be less worried about a car!! :)
At least it wasn't the Ghibli. My repairer has had the car for over two weeks in order to get it returned to perfect OCD condition!!
They found a blemish in the paint and said they would rather keep the car and rectify it, knowing how critical I am.

my wife keeps banging on about I'm not right in the head with how I treat my motors, I remember reading somewhere there was a guy who has "sex" with his cars WTF, so it could be worse;)

Valid point. However, this was on a nigh on straight (wide) road on a clear day.

After driving in Ireland, Dublin in particular driving in the UK is a breeze. Nobody uses indicators, they pull out in front of anyone and everyone, stop when and where they want without any warning, reverse back along the road to the parking space they missed by 200m because there are no others in the row (oh it's you job to get out of the way) - I could go on

push bikers riding 2 abreast gets on my tits, especially when they're talking to each other and knowing full well traffic is backing up, probably get shot down in flames by all the bikers on here now:p

No you won't............I'm an avid cyclist and I would never do that because of that reason and it's dangerous because not everyone is as patient as you.
I even make a point of waving traffic through when I can see around a corner before them to say it's safe to pass me now!

Given that on most of the roads around here you've got to cross over into the oncoming lane to pass cyclists I'd rather they were two abreast than strung out. Quicker to get past them and back in so you need a smaller gap.

That said there are people that do try and squeeze the cyclists into the gutter and overtake when there isn't room to do so. Yesterday had one that seemed to wait until there was traffic coming the other way then pulled out around a cyclist forcing the other car to brake. Idiot!

Oh, and two red light runners, including a Nissan Leaf heading to the same office I was. He got there just in front of me which prompted the question about why run the red light? "Everyone does" was the answer.
