Pretty sure it actually stood (and in fact still does stand) for 'Network'....

Aha, that explains why it contains so little actual news..... just realised they sold their bits of MSNBC off so gave up on real news... Also just found how to filter out the cark about "celebrities", reality TV and the royal family...

Headlamp bulb replacement!!!

Next time I buy a car I will ask the salesman to change the headlamp bulbs and if can’t do it in 5mins without breaking his knuckles he can keep the car!!

I have just spent 45 mins changing the headlight bulbs on my wife’s 2014 Corsa and it’s completely ridiculous ! No access at all.
some YouTube videos even suggest removing the headlights which involves removing part of the front bumper.
No way could you do this at the side of the road, in the dark.
have now completed the task but feel as stressed as **** - off to the pub to recover!

Good point that, legislation should be made to make car designers to enable changing headlight bulbs as easy as possible, all in the interests of h+s you understand. It can't be that difficult.

I had the same experience with an Audi TT some years back. Went at it for a couple of hours. Ended up with a big pile of plastic bits from inside the engine bay but no closer to the bulb. Ended up taking it to a garage. They had to put it up on a ramp to access From under the car! Ridiculous.

Yes I have felt this for a long time
My now scrapped Renault Kangoo work horse was a doddle to do.
No tools required at all, only your fingers so it can be done

The good old Haynes manuals took a lot of the discovery pain away. Do they still do them? I suspect cars are too complicated nowadays

Mk I Ford Focus passenger side headlight. I understand now why it's always a Focus that has its headlights pointing in strange directions. It's a right pain in the arris to reseat the bulb correctly unless you take the battery out.

My Jag X-Type was the same. I would just take it to Halfords and say "I don't think you will be able to......" Fastest time was a girl at Halfords in Cheltenham who was a wizard at it.
No doubt there is a technique and knowledge is power, but Halfords changed the bulb 4 months ago and it’s gone again,I imagine they had their sticky greasey fingers on the bulb.

CO / Smoke detector batteries. Is there some kind of clock function to make sure they go flat enough to trigger the alerts only in the small hours of the morning?
0148 FFS!
