Range Rover advice

By far and away the most reliable cars I’ve ever had are my Range Rovers. Nothing goes wrong and nothing breaks. Though I do change them before they hit 100k miles or 10 years old.
I’ve had my current Autobiography for exactly 4 years, and the only non-service item I’ve had to change is the battery.
Several of my friends are in the same situation, and have driven RR’s for 20 years and more, just swapping for the new model when one comes out. Obviously none of us would do this if they kept proving to be unreliable.

How do you feel about buying Range Rovers, then immediately selling them on so the next owner has the reliability?
Honestly we have several friends with tales of woe, especially the newer FF Rangies.

I tend to buy them at about 2 years old and 10k miles. Maybe that means the first owner has ironed out any wrinkles. Or maybe there weren’t any wrinkles. I don’t know. Maybe I’ve just been lucky. Either way, and as I’ve mentioned before, if I had to sell the lot and have only one car, it would be the full-fat RR.

I think the problem is that they’ve tried to transfer the “art” front end of the Velar to the larger RR and it just looks “slabby”…especially in black with no colour contrast.

There just so much more height, the new Range Rover is the same, nowhere near as nice looking as the Velar, that’s why I was wondering if they need a huge lump of plastic to pass pedestrian impact tests.

And I've had virtually no issues with your old one in the four years I've had it. Corroded plug in infotainment pack, burnt out Alternator has been it other than service items. Everything still working :)

Our potential replacement for the XC90, (EX90) is now £100k... car prices are now out of touch with reality.
Spot on. My XC90 was £50k new. Why would I pay double for essentially the same car with a battery power train.
