That's one of the easiest jobs you could wish to do.
The bags must have gone up in price since I did them on my last one ???

Hmmm... yes the garage charged me £250 each, which does seem a lot.

It's a bit odd, the prices on the Interweb seem to be all over the place from £60 to £300???

There's plenty of Land Rover Specialists selling the original genuine Dunlop ones for not lots of money and honestly Mark they are the easiest ever to change on the P38.
How many hours labour did they charge ?
I reckon they know you're minted.

I think I will have to ask some questions.
I suppose I have just got used to Maserati prices!

As for 'easy to change', I can't even change a light bulb without causing an explosion and losing a couple of fingers.

I'm not minted, just clueless.

Which model Rangie is it and does it have a sunroof/panoramic roof?
They do a a rep for leaking from failed drainage tubes.
Big issue on some is the footwells getting wet and shorting out the various ECU's under the seats, so needs sorting sooner rather than later.
 
After some research and some practical thinking, I am going to look to up my budget and seek out a D350.

A friend of mine has driven these for the past 30 years in various forms and now has D350 and thinks is definitely the best all rounder.

It's a P38 with a sunroof. I already had water in the footwell in the autumn, and had the sunroof drains cleared. But this seems to be new. Apparently the sunroof seals are no longer available, and you have to fabricate one. Some people just seal the sunroof shut, which is quite tempting....

I'd be looking for a Coach Trimmer Mark whose bound to have some sunroof seal on a roll as that sunroof was fitted into many cars from the 80's to the 000's
Problem is if the car is parked outside and by trees they can go green and loose the ability to seal the aperture.
I think it's nice to have a sunroof but you need to have a regular cleaning regime for them.
 
Seriously tatty, in need a full respray and general overhaul, with no service history. You’d be bonkers to pay £25k or anywhere near that.
 
I bet to Paint a P38 properly removing all trim lights and screens you could spend 10 Grand from what I see.
