Looks a bit lightweight though doesn't it. Not sure my scissor lift was much more cash and is much more substantial.

How do you get on with it Dean, put mine on the one at my storage place, was barely enough room for the blocks, guess the GS is a little lower tho, I solved it tho, I supplied x4 1” thick, 3 ft scaffold boards to go either end......

I've a low garage height, and a typical scissor lift would have the roof of the car in the kitchen above!..unless you can stop then lower.
I do like the look of the quick jack due to the lower height and ease of storage, not so much the cost!

I had the same issue, made some ramps from two strips of 18mm marine ply.

After that they work a treat, no idea how I managed without it to be honest.

My lift is a full height one, but my garage isn’t. I just adjust the stop to make sure it doesn’t hit the roof. Until I build the new garage of course!

Storage isn’t an issue, it’s under the car.

It does but it looks more permanent, this is made to be portable

It's meant to be portable
This lifts 5000lbs , it's about £400 cheaper in Costco than on the quick Jack website

Really good and very pleased with it. Bought some cheapish Laser drive up nylon ramps to give additional couple of inches of height for lower vehicles.

You can have it up as much as you want so only an inch if you want to sits on hydraulic pressure. Minimum height to go onto first mechanical lock is about approx 18"

Tested it on hydraulic pressure and no locks for period as piece of mind and it didn't drop a millimetre. Wouldn't trust it anyway to go underneath until mechanical lock was on though regardless. I machine cut and polished the SL last week and it was great to have the car higher to have it sitting at a nice comfortable height.

Was great to change the discs and pads on XC90 easy. Then got the SL alloys refurbed and left car up on lift for 48 hours while dropped off all 4 alloys for refurb. Cleaned all inside arches just easier than bending down at my age!

Need to get a nice roller stool or seat as well as will be useful on occasion. Anyone got or seen any?

Understood....makes sense then for that application. Only thing I didn't like about the unconnected ones is the ability to go out of sync or rise at different rates.

How much do they weigh out of interest?

Which model is yours, I do like the sound of it and I guess with the footprint, you don't need to bolt it down, and you can actually work down the middle of the car too.

Seemed to be a good blend to me of decent size, weight, quality and flexibility. It is this one:

They did do a cheaper one which I thought about but didn't want to phaff about with arms but could be more flexible for some I guess:

As you say I like the fact it gives lots of space along the middle to be able to work under as well that the cheaper one doesn't offer.

Matt had some issues with his moving but I have not experienced this and haven't bolted it down. It hasn't moved at all. Maybe down to my surface maybe being rougher than his maybe. It is bloody heavy so on my rough unfinished concrete slab it doesn't move.

don't know sorry, just saw it while i was wandering round, I doubt it could rise at different rates, costco's return policy would probably have them buying you a new car out of the tills if it fell off
