Andy Goram, the only “brilliant” (the sun, so its true) scottish cricketer I know.
215mph downhill, Penicuik Cricket ground, following wind.....1982, .

He wasted the rest of his life playing cricket.

When Andy Goram was diagnosed with a mild case of schizophrenia, the Killie fans sang at him;

'There's only two Andy Gorams'........

Me and my mate were at Tonge Cricket Club in Bolton where Wasim Akram was a pro there I think. Anyway, he was there. My mate who played a bit and said to him, 'I've seen you play on telly, I reckon I could hit you easily'. So he begs Wasim to bowl one outside on the pitch at him and Wazzer said no, it's not professional etc and refused. Anyway in the end he relented and said just one ball ok.

I stayed at the bar and me mate comes back in all ashen-faced and we ask how it went and he says 'Never even fukn saw it but I heard go past my ear....'

Shoib akhtar? Ahktar? The rawalpindi express? (although notably less of an express after time on sidelines for PES suspension). I think he was clocked just over 100mph....about 161kmh. No idea where it was. If in pakistan i suspect a dubious reading...

As this has died bit, a simple one for musicians, or maybe not so simple...

What chord is this, as fingered (oo-err) by George Harrison, answer provided by my son, who is musical genius...

Depends
Is the 2nd finger actually fretting a note?
Unclear on my picture
Notes appear to be F, Gsharp, Csharp unknown
Assuming standard tuning but it looks more like an Open D tuning or D minor
Better stop there

My lad assures me its Fmb6, 1st inversion of a Db, if you are assuming the lowest note is the F.

And the b6 refers to the flat 6th being the c# 3rd fret b string.

Beyond me.....

The photo looks like it was taken in Studio 2 at Abbey Road in 1963, going by the length of George and Ringo’s Barnet’s, so it might help to narrow down which song they’re working on.

Beatles geekery matters, doncha know!

I'd have gone with D flat, but the F maj confused me. Sean (my genius lad) played around the chord for me, with additions and mods, and it sounded like that Beatles song that goes 'In My Life, I've Loved Them All' - that the right period?
