Well the last one is 'Area 51', but apart from that they just all look like vaguely secret or hard-to-get-to areas or islands.

Nuclear test facilities? The Island looks like Bikini Atol, is the tunnel one the hydron colander (excuse the spelling).

OK, well, now I'm thinking of islands......

What links a large archipelago in south-east Asia with Queen Mary (Queen of England and Ireland from 1553 to 1558)?

C'mon, now. Think!
What was the significant factor in Mary's reign? What was going on with the Philippines in about 1550?

Mary tried to overturn the reformation and re-introduce Catholicism and killed anyone who disagreed hence her nickname Bloody Mary. She married the King of Spain in an attempt to join two Catholic strongholds but unless they honeymooned in the Philippines I have no clue on a link

OK, I'm going to give it to zagatoes30 for being so close. (And because we are the only two people still interested in this thread.)
Mary I married the King of Spain, who was called.....
Philip
- and the Philippines were named after him.
The amazing thing (to me) is that when Philip and Mary married, it was declared that Philip was King of England (for as long as she lived), and Philip and Mary ruled together (like William and Mary II a couple of hundred years later), but I had never heard of 'King Philip of England' until a couple of weeks ago. His very existence seems to have been forgotten.

No correct answers yet and here was me thinking there would be the right sort of anorak on here
