OK lets try again and this time include Cricket

Badminton, Golf, Cricket, Tennis, Basketball, Football

Ok - now we’re getting there. Top 2 are correct

1) Badminton (493km/h highest speed shuttlecock)
2) Golf (340 km/h highest recorded serve ever)

Rest are not right yet, and I asked about Baseball not Basketball...

Doh must read every word but I struggle to class Baseball as a sport, it's just a long game of rounders

OK one last guess based on previous answers

Badminton, Golf, Tennis, Baseball, Football, Cricket

close enough - order of 4th and 5th not quite right. Correct answer is (all speeds in Km/h)

1) Badminton (493)
2) Golf (340)
3) Tennis (263)
4) Football (211)
5) Baseball (174)
6) Cricket (161)

Would you ever have guessed that a badminton shuttlecock is the fastest recorded object in sports? While testing out new racket technology in 2013, Malaysia’s Tan Boon Hoeng set a new world record with a 493 km/h smash. The fastest recorded hit during competition belongs to China’s Fu Haifeng, who managed to smash a 332 km/h shot during the 2005 Sudirman Cup.

Over to you Zag

I'll guess on the fact that racquets are sprung, so badminton, tennis, golf, baseball, cricket, football. Oops too slow!

OK similar theme

What is the longest throw of an object by a person without any velocity-aiding feature and what was it?
