I had no clue but my wife, who is Scottish, says there is a Bridge over the Atlantic linking one of the islands to mainland Argyll. Seems engineering-y enough!
She says its a "wee hump-back bridge" so that might mean it's got the smallest radius of any bridge in the British Isles?

Going from her description, perhaps the thickness is two and a half feet at its thinnest? (Might even get her to read the other threads about exhaust valves etc at this rate).

Way off really, sorry!

Some clues, it doesn't exist anymore, I was wrong about the 2'6", its 2'3" and not unique. Googled just now cos I was using my RAM before......

Answer then. They were the two passenger steam locos on the Campbeltown and Machrihanish Light Railway on the Mull of Kintyre.

Easy!

Dunno who’s next, I’m on iPhone on train and it’s kicking off cos of the number of people who haven’t bothered to reserve.

OK, I will jump in with a quick one.

What is the longest train journey in the UK without having to change? Start and end location and scheduled departure and arrival times please.

The 8:20 gets in at 21:40....and costs £438 whereas a flybe flight from Aberdeen to Newquay costs £260 and takes 4:30 with a 2 hour stop at Manchester. Why people don't use Flybe more is beyond me
