Was it made of ice?
Indeed it was made of ice (they added some wood pulp in as well). HMS Habakkuk was to have bridged the mid-Atlantic gap by being an aircraft carrier made predominantly of ice. Genius idea and a fascinating read if you get the chance to do any digging on the subject.

Think I read about it on BBC webpage, didn’t read it enough to be sure it was a British plan tho....

So half knew, half guess.

Have a question ready, simple one but might be hard to answer, unless you just know it, anyway, here goes;

What sport related tragedy resulted in the requirement that public announcement systems be fitted to sports stadia, and why?

Not taking anything away from the event which must have been very sad, but look at the picture.
All of those people apparently behaving and the lady on the lhs all dolled up in hat coat and handbag at a football match.
Now compare that with a typical shot today
