Badgers are also omnivorous (unless I'm being too strict in my definition i.e. eats only meant, not can eat meat)

Taken from Badgerland.co.uk

Although the badger is classed as a carnivore (it has large canine teeth), it is essentially omnivorous. As well as earthworms, beetles, voles, mice, frogs, snails and wasps, it also eats acorns, beech mast, bulbs, fruits and roots. Essentially it is a forager (eating what it finds), rather than a hunter which chases after prey.

Compared to the fox, the badger has a longer gut to cope with it having a more wide-ranging diet.

Glad to have cleared that up!......

... it is essentially omnivorous....

Same as dogs. Carnivores typically have shorter intestines. A fox is mostly carnivorous. A Wolfhound will be omnivorous I reckon. Being a domestic dog (if your house is big enough!)

Badger is the answer i have. They are classed as carnivores as their diet is mostly meat.

Wolf no longer naitive to Britain. There may be the odd big cat escaped into the wild but not naitive to Britain.

As far as i know no Lynx have as yet not been reintroduced to the wild. If they do its likely to be the euroasian variant. Certainly no naitive Lynx left.

Which leaves us with the Badger as being Britains largest land based carnivore. I did mean land based although i didnt state it in the original question.

Over to you Vamps.

Even badgerland doesn't agree with the QM! :D

Badgerland do agree with me.
"the badger is classed as a carnivore"

Their words not mine from the badgerland website.

It doesnt say it shares many traits of a carnivore but is classed as an omnivore.

Now where is the middle finger emoji :p:D

Ive not checked the Britains largest ocean carnivore. It would depend on if they stay in our waters all year round.

Tigers not a chance MLC :p:p

Its said there are more tigers in captivity in Texas than there are left in the wild in the rest of the world. How true that is i have no idea.
