Quattroporte Vs Listed For Sale

Surprised worth less in nz?

Incredibly small pool of potential buyers.

How much to import from New Zealand?!
I'd say around £12k. Shipping would probably be around £4k, with additional handling fees either end of £2k. If the car were bought for £20k (subject to a clear PPI, never happened on a QP), import costs would be £4000 VAT (20%), 10% import duty on the £24k is £2.4k. Then only around £200 to MOT and register it with DVLA.
So if it attained a clean bill of health from Maserati Auckland, and needed zero prep, it would owe £32-33k on your driveway.

I guess based on recent ones for sale/sold it seems it would be around the price you’d pay here, IF it’s good all round, so seems a load of time/work/risk.
But, the way this country is going it may be better just to up sticks and move to new zeland and run about in it there! I believe it’s a pretty nice place!

NZ is very nice, and as some of you know, my cunning plan a couple of years ago was to go on holiday to NZ, buy a QPV on arrival, drive it for a month, and then sell it or ship it home. As I recall this plan was vetoed by MrsMM and @Ebenezer.

As for 'the way this country is going', we have never been safer from serious crime, the economy is surprisingly resilient after Brexit and Covid (better than either France or Germany by some measures) and we still have one of most trusted democracies and highest rates of freedom in the world. We are, however, plagued by fascist knobs who think the country would be improved by hanging flags from lampposts and electing the people too dumb and too right wing to be Conservatives, but hopefully that will blow over.

I meant how much everything now costs and ever increasing tax grabs from all angles, personal and buisness, and increasing state interference in everyday life.
Maybe everywhere else is going the same way though.

Anyway, here’s another, in the uk. Not as nice spec, unless you like all black of course.

.....

Yes, I can see how it feel that way, and it is pretty much the same everywhere in Europe and NZ, etc.

But nostalgia can be deceptive.

I remember 18% interest rates, 98% top income tax rates, electricity blackouts, the three-day-week, endless strikes, the SPG on the streets, British Leyland cars, disco etc, so really things do feel comparatively good nowadays in that context.

Mark, I remember those awful days but don't forget who fixed them.
BTW, I don't believe this forum is the place for political rhetoric. It is great we have different views but I think we should focus here on Maseratis and petrol headonism ( I made that word up!). There are plenty of other places to debate politics.

Well said…..let’s now move on and keep it Maserati/car focused

Description

2011 Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S 4.7L MC Sport Line

The only MC Sport Line found in the UK.

M139 model with Ferrari engine used on Ferrari California, F 430, F 458 etc.

This car is extremely rare.

The Masserati GT equivalent (MC Stradale) sells for 3 to 4 times the price.

The car was for the CEO of a (now closed) London Supercar garage.

The car was SORN in 2021 and returned to UK March 2026 from France.

It was used very little in those years, hence the relatively low mileage.

The MC spec (carbon finish / aluminium details) was only available in 2011/2012.

It is the rarest and most desirable specification of the Quattroporte Sport V8 4.7 GT S Generation V.

This is the only example in the UK featuring the factory-fitted carbon fibre racing package and aluminium trims.

Owned by Ferrari specialist garage in London since 2016.

Purchased directly from the first owner.

Immaculate Interior. Nero/Black/Carbon is "as-new".

It is a family car but was never used as such.

Banging sound by Bose and TV at rear (never used).

It has done only 93,750 miles (roughly 50k less than expected for age) but been pampered and always dry stored.

It just drove from Lyon to Calais with one hand at 95 /100 MPH and then Dover to London within the speed limits!

Currently getting new front tyres, new whippers, new suspension ball joints and MOT from next week.

The alloys need doing. The body is original and could use a respray. There is one tiny dent to front nose the size of a 1p coin and 3 to 4 mm deep.

This is reflected in the price.

High-Value Specifications:

4.7L Ferrari-Maserati V8 (444 HP) with F1 Paddles.

Full Carbon Fibre interior trim & Aluminium stamped logos.

Rear Seat Entertainment (TV) & Auto-rear blind.

Includes original Maserati battery charger.

Private Plate Included: LN 60 LDN "London Go London" or "Helen Golden" ?

A unique opportunity to own a professionally curated modern classic with a legendary Ferrari-derived heart.

Last production of legendary engine.
Vehicle registered: 30/11/2011
