Quattroporte Vs Listed For Sale

So the question is, can the mechanical magic of the GTS be replicated by adding a set of KWs or the shocks from a GTS to a 4.7 S, I appreciate there are cosmetic differences and interior trim differences.

Does Beoman refer to B&O?
Cant answer your actual question sadly :)

Is that BV11 or 14?

I have 5 Bv11s in the house, so much value just like the QPs :-)

Don't have any BL5 but got a couple of sets of 18s, couple of 17s, and MK2 BL3s

Apologies for the thread drift guys - wasn’t expecting a fellow BeoNut to emerge on here.
Love the aftermarket wood grille on the BV11! Sounds like some great setups there.
Yes mine was a BV11-55 now replaced by an Avant 55.
Wall mounted a pair of BL8000s and a BL11 in my dining room.
As you I suspect, my entire house is rigged out. Running some BS3500s as soundbars for LG OLED TVs around the house.

Yes I'll apologise too...

Alas not aftermarket grills, they're off a BV14, the MK3 BV11 moved from using clips for the grills to the magnets just like the 14s.

Let's PM further BO related musings

If I told you I had to buy a new Heater Matrix for my 456 direct from Maranello, and the quoted labour to change one out on those cars is 50 hours (and don't forget the part is a healthy four figure sum alone), you'll understand why my wallet would welcome 11 years of maintenance costs being circa £35k!

Thanks for the heads up on issues though. Good thing is we know this car had a replacement engine from the factory, at circa 35k miles so only 60k miles on it and it's a later unit with the variator fix.

I'm assuming there's a decent buyers guide somewhere on here given the wealth of knowledge you all have. Must go find it...
I needed the heater matrix changed in my 456. But when they started to dismantle the dash, we could see it was just one small plastic pipe that had snapped. So we glued it back. Simple, and about a 5 figure sum less than the job they wanted to do!
But with the deprecation, fuel, servicing, etc, I still think it cost about £25k a year over the years I had it.
A QP V is a hugely cheaper option (and hence me having 4 of those after the 456).
All a long time ago now though. The 456 was well before my first daughter was born, and she's about to be 21!

Although I just noticed that the front grille is also not the norm for a Sport GT S which has a mesh grille, but that could well have been changed as IMO the mesh grille is not that good looking!
Ooh I digress!, it comes second in looks to the facelift GT S grille imo ;)

Probably help the handling. You won't get the faster gear changes or valved exhausts though.

Oh noo, noo, noo, noo, noo.
Please Beoman, no PMs for interesting things like B&O HiFi. There are plenty of us here who like that sort of thing to the extent that there is a thread specially for it so that we can all enjoy the conversation.......
If I hadn't told you about it, I'm sure Bebs would have.
